Ken d'Andrea transitioned at 8:19 this morning, March 10, 2012. He was cared for by his girlfriend Nancy Pettitt-Martin, and friends from the Center for Spiritual Living, Santa Rosa.
A long time member and friend of the Center, Ken was well loved for his kindness and authenticity, taste for fine food, fashion and cars. He had 20 years experience in the design build field with a focus on kitchen and bath projects. Ken's projects have been featured in National Magazines including Sunset, Signature Kitchens & Baths and Washington Spaces. He had a deep awareness of the affect of design on quality of life and a focus on designing spaces that address the issue of Aging In Place.
Ken and I were in the same Foundations class around 1996, then we were in ManSpirit together. We became friends and had many dinners together. We hung out together around 9/11, as Ken has worked in Windows of the World, the restaurant atop one of the World Trade Center buildings. Ken had very good tastes in all things material, insisting on having the best, even if it was his last dollar. He was exceptionally kind and generous towards his girlfriends.

I'll always remember Ken fondly. He projected himself as a larger-than life person. He was forceful, yet gentlemanly. He offered support and the wisdom of his experience. Ken was a great colleague for his business associates, and was driven to succeed.
ReplyDeleteKen's spiritual journey brought him to CSLSR and to Manspirit. It now continues.
The memories I hold close and can never be taken away...Luv you..miss you much..Rest in peace my friend
