Bruce Dale White January 27, 1954-November 19, 2025

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we share the passing of Dale Bruce White on November 19, 2025. Dale had been courageously living with stage-4 prostate cancer, drawing on both conventional and integrative approaches in his healing journey. His death followed an unexpected adverse reaction to immunotherapy received through a UCSF research trial.
Dale was born on January 27, 1954, in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, to Shirley Wheeler and Carl White. He is survived by his beloved wife, Frieda Weiss; his cherished daughters, Alanna and Marinda; his sisters, Beverlee and Barbara; and his nieces, Surgee and Michelle and nephews, Jay and Matthew.

Dale and Frieda created a beautiful home and sanctuary in Sebastopol, where they lovingly raised their daughters. Together as a family, they shared many adventures, traveling to inspiring places around the world — from the historic castles and museums of Europe to the quiet beauty of nature’s landscapes. Dale delighted in both cultural exploration and time outdoors, always curious, observant, and appreciative of the world’s richness.

For nearly thirty years, Dale served the Santa Rosa and Sebastopol communities as a gifted acupuncturist and functional medicine practitioner. He was deeply devoted to his patients, many of whom became dear friends over the years. His skill, compassion, and steady presence helped countless people find healing, comfort, and hope.

A lifelong spiritual seeker, Dale explored many faith traditions and spiritual communities, including the Center for Spiritual Living in Santa Rosa. For four decades, he was a dedicated student and practitioner of Vajrayana Buddhism, a path that nourished his profound compassion and offered him peace and comfort in his final months.

Dale lived an active and joyful life. He maintained a regular yoga practice and especially loved line dancing at Coaches Corner gym, where movement, music, and community brought him great happiness — even after his diagnosis.

Those who knew Dale will remember his gentle kindness, quiet wisdom, playful sense of humor, and adventurous heart. His healing presence, brilliant mind, and compassionate spirit touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

A memorial to celebrate Dale’s life will be held at the Center for Spiritual Living, Santa Rosa. 2075 Occidental Road, on Saturday, April 11, at 2 PM.

The family invites attendees to bring cookies and finger food to share.
