Jeffrey Ming Puon Wong, residing in Sebastopol, California, passed away on February 5, 2024 at the age of 82. He was born on July 13, 1941 in San Francisco, California. Jeff was the youngest of nine siblings, who all grew up in Chinatown, San Francisco.
Jeff graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California at San Francisco in 1967. He worked as a pharmacist and as an entrepreneur for many years. Jeff was integral in bringing pharmacy services into Kaiser Santa Rosa’s oncology infusion center. Other notable career achievements include starting TPN, a home infusion service; being elected to the Board of Kaiser’s Pharmacist Union and serving as the Director of Pharmacy at the Chinese Hospital in San Francisco’s Chinatown.
For many years, Jeff enjoyed staying in touch with old friends from Chinatown; playing tennis with the Oak Park Otters Swim Team dads; golfing with his long-time friend Jack; RV and other travel adventures with his wife and close friends, Bob and Paul. Singing in the One Heart Choir at the Center for Spiritual Living brought him much joy.Jeff also loved spending time with hisfamily, especially his grandchildren. Playing mahjong with them was a favorite pastime in his later years.
Jeff is survived by his spouse of 53 years, Edie, daughters Amy (Marc) and Erin (Jan), and grandchildren Matthias, Milan and Cody, as well as many loving relatives on both sides of his large extended family. At Jeff’s request, his ashes will be scattered at locations in the Bay Area.
