He was born and raised in Southern California by Ethel and Leslie Hall. His parents and younger beloved sister, Leslie Anne Hall Pollard preceded him in death. He was married to Anne Percival for 14 years and they remained friends for the rest of his life.
Jim spent most of his life in California, but also lived, loved and studied in Oregon, Texas and Washington. It was in Northern California where he truly explored and developed his passions of creating, spiritual healing and herbal lore. He was a contractor who
remodeled and built homes all over the Bay area. He studied and taught at the Berkeley Psychic Institute starting in 1979, for over 20 years. He held 2 Master's degrees from John F. Kennedy University: one in Arts and Consciousness and the other in Holistic Health Education. He also studied and taught at the California School of Herbal Studies for over a decade.
It was here that he was able to combine his love of herbs and their healing properties with his knowledge of spiritual healing. Jim shared his wisdom as a Master Herbalist at both the West County Health Center and at Oliver's. In his own private practice Jim specialized in alternative cancer treatment and soul retrieval.
Jim comes from a family of spiritual healers. He continued this tradition by becoming a generous teacher and healer who touched many lives. He leaves behind many friends and he will be truly missed.
At the Center for Spiritual Living we remember Jim for his bright smile and loving ways. He enjoyed taking classes and loved to step in for After Service prayer.
